We are seeking an Adviser in Risk Reporting for Investment Funds

Our Risk Advisory team delivers technology-driven solutions in financial risk management and regulatory reporting for investment funds and asset managers.

As our team continues to grow, we are seeking talented individuals to join us and support the delivery of risk monitoring and reporting services to our clients.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to build strong expertise in risk management and fund investments. You will gain exposure to a variety of assignments in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where initiative and determination are highly valued.

A career within KPMG’s Risk Advisory practice provides hands-on experience in supporting clients through the implementation of risk management frameworks, as well as monitoring portfolio risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.

What you will be working on

  • Provide support to clients in the asset management sector by preparing and reviewing risk and regulatory reports for investment funds.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, including defining scope, validating data, offering feedback, and addressing questions related to the reports produced.
  • Gather and analyze client data to deliver insights and recommendations that support their strategic objectives.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality risk reporting and advisory outputs.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and ongoing development of our internal reporting technologies.
  • Drive efficiency by automating workflows and streamlining operational processes.
  • Continuously strengthen your knowledge of regulations impacting banking and insurance investors, and assess their implications on the asset management industry.

What we look for

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Business Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • You have between 0 and 3 years of professional experience in the financial sector.
  • You are collaborative and able to work effectively both within a team and with stakeholders from different functions. You communicate clearly, listen actively, and contribute positively to the working environment.
  • You demonstrate a keen interest in risk-related topics (such as Value at Risk and sensitivity analysis) and financial regulations.
  • You are highly proficient in Excel, and comfortable working with data to support your analytical skill.
  • You are detail-oriented, quality-focused, and results-driven, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You have a strong understanding of key financial instruments, including derivatives.
  • You possess strong communication skills and are fluent in English; knowledge of German and/or French is an advantage.
  • Possessing one or more of the following competencies would be considered as an asset:
  1. A solid understanding of the investment funds industry and its ecosystem.
  2. Familiarity with programming languages such as VBA, Python, MATLAB, or other data analytics tools is a plus but not a prerequisite.
  3. Knowledge of European regulatory frameworks (e.g., CRR, Solvency II, PRIIPs).
