Job Description: Join Our Team as an Asset Coordinator!
At KPMG, we believe that effective asset management is crucial for optimizing resources and enhancing operational efficiency. As an Asset Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the lifecycle of our IT assets. We’re looking for someone proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven to join our team and make an impact.
What You’ll Do
As a key member of our IT End User Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of IT assets throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to maximize asset value and minimize waste.
What You Will Be Working On
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain an up-to-date record of all IT assets, including locations, configurations, and statuses to improve tracking and control.
- Service Request Management:
- Log and track reported service requests using the ticketing system, ensuring proper documentation of issues for timely resolution.
- Communication:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with end-users and the IT team, following up on requests and incidents to inform progress.
- Cost Control and Budgeting:
- Manage IT asset costs, optimize usage to reduce waste, and provide budgeting insights to support data-driven decisions on asset investments.
- Asset Lifecycle Optimization:
- Maximize asset value by planning upgrades, maintenance, and replacements according to performance, usage, and end-of-life considerations.
- License and Compliance Management:
- Track software licenses and subscriptions to ensure compliance with licensing agreements and manage renewals to avoid penalties or service interruptions.
- Procurement and Deployment:
- Coordinate with vendors to procure assets and ensure they are deployed to users in line with organizational needs and policies.
What We Look For
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in asset management or IT support roles.
- Strong knowledge of IT asset management processes and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with end-users and colleagues.
- Strong customer service skills, including patience, active listening, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in documentation and maintaining a knowledge base.
- ITIL certification is a plus.
- Experience in cost forecasting, budget planning, and tracking expenses to optimize asset spending.
- Understanding of software licensing models and vendor licensing terms.
