Job Description

As a Business Development Trainee, you will work closely with Sector Business Development Managers, the Pursuits team and Market Research specialists. You will support strategic initiatives across priority sectors and key clients, gaining exposure to both strategy and execution.

This role is ideal if you are curious about business, markets, clients and how decisions are made in a professional services environment 🔍.

 

What you will be working on

Sector & Client Support 🤝

  • Support Sector BDMs with sector initiatives
  • Assist with account plans, client briefs and relationship maps
  • Maintain accurate client data in CRM systems

Pursuits & Proposals 📝

  • Support bids and proposal processes
  • Help draft, format and review proposals, CVs and case studies
  • Coordinate inputs and manage timelines to ensure quality submissions

Market & Client Research 📊

  • Conduct market, industry and competitor research
  • Produce client and sector insights and monitor market trends
  • Prepare briefing materials for meetings and pitches

General Business Development Support 🚀

  • Prepare presentations and reports
  • Support ad-hoc BD projects and suggest process improvements 💡

What we look for

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, business administration, Commerce, Business Development, Entrepreneuship or similar studies
  • Interested in business, strategy, markets and client dynamics
  • Comfortable with written and verbal communication in English. Other languages such as French or German are a plus.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Confident using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Curious, proactive and eager to learn
  • Professional and comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders
  • A team player who enjoys collaboration 
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce) is a plus, but not required.
  • Mandatory internship of at least 5 months.
