Job Description

Juniors and/or Trainees in Risk Consulting to join the Financial Accounting and Actuary Valuation Advisory team 

We are looking for motivated individuals to join us from January 2025 for a permanent entry-level role or a 6-month traineeship of final year university. Our Risk Consulting practice offers diverse services, including advising clients on financial and managerial accounting topics.

In our Financial Accounting and Actuary Valuation Advisory team, we assist clients with complex accounting transactions, compliance with accounting standards, establishing effective accounting processes and tools, developing and enhancing client internal controls, reviewing data quality, and enhancing the financial monitoring processes. Furthermore, our services include advising insurers and reinsurers on strategy and core financial areas. With our growing team of insurance finance consultants, we help clients identify, measure, and manage risks while utilizing technology to provide innovative solutions and transform financial and regulatory reporting processes. What you will be working on

  • Delivering projects whereby we analyze the accounting treatment of complex transactions of our clients and drafting technical analysis papers and accounting memorandums.  
  • Reviewing, controlling and presenting findings to clients and their management bodies regarding their accounting processes.  
  • Developing and training our clients on various financial reporting topics, in addition to guiding and supporting our clients in implementing new accounting standards.
  • Supporting KPMG’s audit teams by acting as accounting specialists for complex financial reporting topics and transactions.  
  • Advising clients on topics relating to IFRS 17. 
  • Supporting clients in their process of transforming existing financial and regulatory reporting. 
  • Integrating with a young, dynamic team, working closely with our experienced consultants, and having extensive exchanges with different clients. You will support the engagement manager and project manager in preparing meetings and supporting materials. 

What we look for

  • You are in your final year of a master’s degree/PhD in either business economics, finance, accounting, mathematics. Holding or currently pursuing a professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, FRM is a plus.  
  • You already have knowledge about or exposure to the financial services industry (e.g. via relevant internships), preferably in accounting or finance departments.  
  • You are familiar with financial reporting topics and IFRS. 
  • You display a positive and enthusiastic attitude and can work efficiently and accurately in a challenging environment. 
  • You can write and structure a “complex” email/short text. 
  • You seek to work in an international and multi-cultural environment. 
  • You are fluent in English and have a good command of French/German. Any additional language will be considered as an advantage.
