Job Description

Juniors and/or Trainees in Risk and Regulatory Consulting  

We're looking for motivated individuals to join us as from January 2025 for a permanent entry-level role or a 6-month traineeship of final year university. Our Risk Consulting practice offers a wide range of services, including strategy, governance, regulatory, compliance and risk management guidance. In our day-to-day, we assist financial institutions in managing effectively their risk exposures while achieving their strategic objectives and adhering to regulatory standards.  

For instance, we help them in:  

  • Managing their exposures to financial risks, such as credit, market, liquidity, operational risks. 
  • Managing their exposures to non-financial risks such as legal, compliance, AML/CTF, ESG. 
  • Innovating through the onboarding of technological innovations such as blockchain and AI. 
  • Expanding or refining their business offerings to their clients with optimal governance standards. 
  • Integrating the most appropriate tools to conduct the above and their business according to their strategic objectives and risk appetite. 

What you will be working on

Depending on the market evolution and on your interest(s), you will take a key role in the delivery of our client projects, guided by more experienced consultants in the areas of: 

  • Financial risks: covering all aspects of the financial risk management and the related regulatory risk framework of banks (incl. SREP) and ManCo/AIFM. 
  • AML/CTF and Forensic: delivering a wide range of projects such as fraud risk assessments, anti-fraud programs, anti-bribery programs, corruption risk assessments, design of investigation programs, remediation exercises, and forensic accounting.  
  • ESG Regulation: guiding the clients in their ESG vision and monitoring their related strategy, preparing their reporting obligations, establishing ESG data framework. 
  • Governance: conducting gap assessments between the clients’ current practices against the regulatory requirements and market leading practices, assessing the strategic impact of new regulations, recommending course of actions to integrate all aspects of risk management with the evolving industry and technology in the client’s governance standards. 
  • Our team is young and dynamic. Your role will consist in collaborating with the more senior team members to ensure project satisfaction and completion, preparing meeting and deliverables materials, reading and interpreting the clients' internal policies and regulatory documents. You will have extensive exchanges with different clients. 

What we look for

  • You hold, or are in your final year of, a master’s degree, typically in business administration, finance/banking, economics, sustainability audit, law or similar fields. 
  • You already have knowledge about or exposure to the financial services industry (e.g. via relevant internships), preferably in a risk/compliance/AML/ or sustainability function within a bank, a fund, a management company or an insurance company. 
  • You are familiar with any relevant regulation such as the Basel framework; the AIFM Directive; the UCITS compliance framework; the ESG regulations including but not limited to SFDR, EU Taxonomy, CSRD; MiFID/MiFIR; MiCAR; SFTR; the AML/CTF regulations and international financial crimes frameworks and understand the main points of market players. 
  • You display a positive and enthusiastic attitude and can work efficiently and accurately in a challenging environment. 
  • You have advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and excellent communication skills. 
  • You can write and structure a “complex” email/short text. 
  • You seek to work in an international and multi-cultural environment. 
  • You are fluent in English and have a good command of French or German. Any additional language will be considered an advantage.
