We are seeking an DPP Audit Assistant/Manager
Our Technical Audit Department (″Department of Professional Practice″ or ″DPP″) is offering you new challenges. Seize the opportunity to increase your skills, grow and develop yourself.
What you will be working on
- Work closely with audit managers and partners across all industry groups to contribute to their work and promote audit quality by addressing formal consultations, performing pre-issuance reviews and answering informal queries on a timely basis;
- Leverage on your knowledge and experience to interpret the requirements of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), International Standards on Assurance Engagements (ISAEs), Luxembourg laws and regulations (primarily Lux GAAP, commercial law, and Funds-related sector specific laws) to participate in discussions and provide insight to engagement teams;
- Manage &/or contribute to internal projects of low/moderate complexity independently, consulting with the more senior/experienced DPP team members as well as with Head of DPP as appropriate.
- Show an entrepreneurial mindset by using individual expertise to contribute to the increase in efficiency of the audit teams, without compromising the overall audit quality.
- Contribute to building the skills and capabilities of KPMG Luxembourg audit professionals by promoting continuous learning and coaching across the audit function;
- Prepare materials for and facilitate on DPP audit technical trainings and presentations delivered to audit professionals;
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of ESG topic including an understanding of the law, assurance engagements and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRSs).
- Actively participate in DPP team’s discussions on optimization and rationalization of internal processes and tools.
- Be connected to other functions (tax, advisory and central services);
- Learn from experience and benefit from an accelerated learning curve;
- Enhance your audit experience with in-depth technical knowledge and advance your soft skills;
- Always be at the forefront of the latest professional developments;
- Be ready to embrace audit quality and the future challenges audit professionals face.
What we look for
- You have at least 5 years of experience in external audit;
- You have sound knowledge of Lux GAAP, ISAs as adopted by CSSF, ISAE standards, Audit Law and EU audit regulations, including recent developments;
- You have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to apply sound reasoning and to maintain strong attention to detail even when working within tight deadlines;
- You have strong coaching, facilitation and organizational skills;
- You are fluent in English. Knowledge of French and/or German will be considered as a strong advantage;
- You hold a professional qualification or are in a process of obtaining professional qualification(s) (IRE, ACCA, ICAS, Wirtschaftsprüfer, etc.).
