What it’s like to be a Management Consulting Trainee/Junior at KPMG   

Our Management Consulting team works with leading organizations in the financial services, corporate, industrial, and public sectors to help them navigate major transformations. We help clients build future-ready strategies and operating models in response to digital, regulatory and operational change.

We’re hiring for the following positions:  

• Project Manager (trainee/junior)
• Business Analyst (trainee/junior)

What you will be working on

From day one, you’ll be:  

• Collaborating on transformation projects for clients in industries such as banking, asset management, insurance, and government;
• Supporting the design and execution of target operating models and service delivery models (e.g., post-merger integration, business migration, system implementation);
• Conducting process analysis, gathering and documenting business requirements, facilitating workshops, and delivering stakeholder insights;
• Preparing high-quality reports, client presentations, and project documentation;
• Working alongside engagement managers to structure timelines, coordinate activities, and meet project milestones;
• Contributing to internal knowledge sharing, client relationship development, and continuous process improvement;
• Being part of a collaborative and dynamic consulting team, working directly with experienced professionals and senior client stakeholders.

What we look for

We’re looking for motivated, curious, and open-minded students who want to start their tech career with purpose. 

🎓 Education: Master’s degree in Business Engineering, Business Analytics, Financial Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, IT, or similar areas

🌍 Languages: Fluency in English is required – French, German, or any other language is a plus  

⚙️ Tech and AI: AI-driven and tech-savvy. Experience with AI tools, automation solutions or agent-based technologies is considered an advantage 

💡 Mindset: Proactive and ready to take initiative  

📅 Contract period:   

• Final-year mandatory internship of at least 6 months starting anytime between January and April 2027.  The internship agreement provided by the university is compulsory.
• Junior permanent position starting anytime between January and April 2027.
• Successful trainees may have the opportunity to continue their journey with KPMG Luxembourg through a permanent position.
