Job Description

The role and responsibilities

You will join our Financial Services department and work with a multicultural team of tax professionals in Luxembourg and across our international network. The role combines tax expertise with technology and data, enabling you to develop innovative and efficient solutions for clients across banking, investment funds and insurance.

What you will be working on

       Advise clients on a broad range of tax matters, with a focus on financial services, banking, investment funds and insurance.

·       Coordinate cross-border matters with clients, local tax advisors and colleagues across our international network.

·       Conduct international tax research and surveys and provide practical advice on local and international tax matters.

·       Contribute to tax structuring and transactions, and prepare tax memoranda, opinions and client presentations.

·       Provide advice and support relating to FATCA, CRS, automatic exchange of information and QI audits.

·       Support corporate tax compliance, tax reviews, insurance premium tax returns and tax due diligence.

·       Identify opportunities to use data analytics, automation and digital tools to improve tax compliance, reporting and advisory services.

·       Work with data and technology specialists to develop practical solutions such as dashboards, automated workflows and data-driven tax processes.

·       Contribute to proposals, business development and the development of innovative, reusable tax solutions.

 

What we look for

·       Typically 4+ years of relevant experience in tax advisory or tax compliance, ideally within financial services, banking, asset management, investment funds or insurance.

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Tax Law, Accounting or a related field.

·       Good knowledge of corporate/direct taxation and an interest in international and cross-border tax matters.

·       Experience with FATCA/CRS, tax reporting, tax reviews, due diligence, insurance premium tax, tax reclaim, relief at source, or structuring or transactions is an advantage.

·       Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex tax matters into clear, practical advice.

·       An interest in data, automation and technology applied to tax. Experience with tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps or AI is an advantage.

·       Accuracy, curiosity, strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

·       Fluent in English and either French or German. French and/or Luxembourgish is an advantage.
