Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Adviser in our Investment Fund Tax Reporting team
This new role will contribute to the overall expansion of KPMG Luxembourg as we continue to expand our Best-in-Class service to our clients hence focusing on quality and digital solution. What you will be working on
- Prepare investment fund tax reporting computations for a wide range of regimes, including the UK, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Germany and Denmark;
- Analyze, understand and reconcile data received from fund administrators and other stakeholders;
- Perform asset classification and compute specific tax reporting adjustments;
- Work with large data sets and contribute to the structuring, control and quality of production data;
- Review and challenge results to ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness;
- Take ownership of assigned production files and ensure deliverables are completed on time and in line with quality standards;
- Coordinate with fund administrators to gather information, clarify data points and resolve production-related matters;
- Liaise with the KPMG network to submit production files for review and respond to production-related questions;
- Support the delivery of reporting outputs to client and answer operational questions related to the production performed;
- Coach junior team members on a daily basis, review their work and provide practical guidance;
- Contribute to improving internal processes, tools and working methods, with a focus on quality, efficiency and scalability.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with management when issues, risks or delays are identified, and contribute to finding practical solutions.
What we look for
- At least 2-3 years of experience in the fund industry;
- A good understanding of UCITS / AIFMD funds, how they operate and their accounting principles;
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills;
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work;
- The ability to work autonomously on assigned production files while respecting deadlines;
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities in a busy environment;
- Excellent command of Microsoft Excel;
- Confidence in handling, reconciling and analyzing large data sets;
- Good communication skills when interacting with team members, fund administrators, KPMG network and client;
- A collaborative attitude and the ability to coach junior colleagues in their daily work.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German is considered a strong asset.
The following would be considered strong assets:
- Previous experience in investment fund tax reporting;
- Experience with Big Data;
- Knowledge of Power Query.
