Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner (Business Services) based in Luxembourg (hybrid). You will partner with Business Services leadership to drive lean accounting, process optimization and AI-driven reporting, lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, and deliver actionable financial insights that improve performance. The role suits a senior, pragmatic finance professional (10+ years) with SAP and BI experience, a strong process orientation, and a proven ability to deliver under pressure.

As Senior Finance Business Partner (Business Services) you will be the finance lead embedded with Business Services, acting as a change agent to drive lean accounting, process optimization and data-driven decision making. You will tightly partner with COO (Head of Business Services) and the business services leaders to translate operational needs into actionable financial insights, streamline processes through automation and AI-enabled tools, and support performance improvement across cost, quality and delivery. This replacement role requires a senior, hands-on professional who thrives under pressure, prioritizes effectively, and contributes as a collaborative team player.

What you will be working on

  • Act as the trusted finance partner to CFO, Head of Finance, COO and Business Services leadership: deliver financial insight, challenge assumptions and influence decisions.
  • Act as a sparring partner to the Director of FP&A contributing to robust discussions on financial performance, forecasting assumptions, business plans, controlling model and strategic priorities.
  • Lead process improvement and lean accounting initiatives to simplify workflows, reduce waste and strengthen internal controls.
  • Design, develop and maintain reporting and analysis that support operational decisions — move towards near real-time, KPI-driven dashboards.
  • Drive automation and AI adoption across finance processes (reporting, forecasting, reconciliations, controls), identifying opportunities for AI.
  • Support monthly close activities and ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and budgetary control processes for Business Services; provide scenario analysis and actionable recommendations.
  • Translate business change needs into finance requirements and support implementation of new tools, systems or processes (working closely with Digital Accelerator team  and Finance peers).
  • Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and sponsor small-to-medium projects that enhance financial performance or operating model.
  • Promote financial and business awareness across the Business function and within Finance through coaching and clear communication.

What we look for

  • Strong accounting and controlling background with a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience.
  • Advanced Excel; experience with SAP finance modules and Reporting tools.
  • Hands-on familiarity with automation/AI tools or demonstrable appetite and experience driving such initiatives.
  • Solid budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; other languages an asset.
  • Proven track record in a finance business partnering role supporting shared services, central functions or similar.
  • Demonstrable experience running process improvement projects and delivering automation/AI-driven efficiencies.
  • Comfortable operating independently, handling ambiguous situations and escalating appropriately.
  • Behavioral skills and competencies: growth mindset, change agent, process-oriented, detail focused, pressure management, team work, decision quality and uphold KPMG firm standars.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CFA or equivalent) and experience in professional services or the Big Four environment as an asset.
