What it’s like to be a Trainee in AI & Management Consulting at KPMG
Our AI & Management Consulting team partners with leading organizations in the financial services, corporate, industrial, and public sectors to navigate the AI transformation. Whether driven by generative AI adoption, intelligent automation, or data-driven operating models, we support clients in building future-ready strategies powered by emerging technology.
We're looking for driven individuals from business, finance, or technology backgrounds who are excited about putting AI to work in the real world.
What you will be working on
From day one, you’ll be hands-on:
- Team up on AI-enabled transformation projects across banking, asset management, insurance and government.
- Help redesign how businesses run – automating workflows, embedding AI into operations and turning data into decisions.
- Create sharp reports, client decks and project docs that translate complex AI concepts into clear business impact.
- Team up with managers to keep projects on track, hit milestones and deliver results in fast-moving AI initiatives.
- Share knowledge, build client relationships and spot where AI can unlock new value or solve real problems.
- Be part of a dynamic crew working directly with clients – learn from the best while making your mark on projects that actually matter.

What we look for
We’re looking for ambitious, curious, and motivated people ready to crush it. If this sounds like you:
- Start date: anytime between June 2026 to October 2026 can be your starting date, for a 6-month mandatory final-year internship.
- Education: Final-year students of a Master's program in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering or similar areas. Bonus points if you've explored certifications in AI, cloud (Azure, AWS) or data analytics.
- Languages: Fluent English is required. French is highly recommended and considered a strong asset. German or Luxembourgish would be a plus.
- Skills: Analytical mindset, detail-oriented, problem-solving, people skills. You're comfortable working with data, prompting AI tools, and communicating findings clearly – Excel and PowerPoint still matter, and Python or Power BI is a bonus.
- Industry knowledge: Bonus points if you've experimented with AI tools, worked on data or automation projects, or explored how AI is reshaping financial services or operations through internships or university work.as. Bonus points if you’re chasing certs like ACCA, CPA or FRM.
- You need to be available full-time after your internship.
