What it’s like to be a Trainee in Management Consulting at KPMG
Our Management Consulting team partners with leading organizations in the financial services, corporate, industrial, and public sectors to navigate major transformations. Whether driven by digital innovation, regulatory changes, or operational improvement, we support clients in building future-ready strategies and operating models.
We’re looking for driven individuals from business, finance, or technology backgrounds who are excited about shaping change.
What you will be working on
From day one, you’ll be hands-on:
- Team up on transformation projects across banking, asset management, insurance and government.
- Help redesign how businesses run – post-merger moves, system upgrades and service delivery glow-ups.
- Create sharp reports, client decks and project docs that make an impact.
- Team up with managers to keep projects on track, hit milestones and deliver results.
- Share knowledge, build client relationships and spot ways to do things better.
- Be part of a dynamic crew working directly with clients – learn from the best while making your mark.

What we look for
We’re looking for ambitious, curious, and motivated people ready to crush it. If this sounds like you:
- Start date: anytime between April 2026 to September 2026 can be your starting date, for a 6-month mandatory final-year internship.
- Education: Final-year students of a Master's program in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Math, Financial Engineering, IT or similar areas. Bonus points if you’re chasing certs like ACCA, CPA or FRM. You need to be available full-time after your internship.
- Languages: Fluent English is required. French is highly recommended and considered a strong asset. German or Luxembourgish would be a plus.
- Skills: Analytical mindset, detail-oriented, problem-solving, people skills. You’re comfy in Word, PowerPoint and Excel – pivot tables, formulas, data visualizations.
- Industry knowledge: Bonus points if you’ve dipped into consulting, transformation, or finance through internships or university projects.
